Some of our customer companies cannot be classified into the classic industry segments. For this reason, we have grouped the companies in question under the term “plastics and metal processing”.
On the one hand, there are companies whose production structure almost corresponds to an automobile factory. On the other hand, there are also companies that are more comparable to a paper factory. This results in a wide range of different production structures that is not available in other industries. Nevertheless, the same boundary conditions apply to this segment as to the other industry segments. The “operations footprint” must be actively defined based on strategic considerations to capture this bandwidth.
“In the West” the problem arises that predominantly simple, manual activities can no longer be presented competitively without automation. Activities for which competitive processes cannot be relied upon must be purchased externally after a thorough strategic evaluation. In our own production plants, strict orientation towards the LEAN principles is a basic requirement. This applies not only to the production area, but also to the supporting processes such as warehouse, quality assurance or purchasing. As in the other sectors, customer-centric innovations and a stable financial basis are important prerequisites for sustainable success in the focus sector of plastics and metal processing.
The partners of the IQX Group strive for this success together with the employees of your company and offer their support as project managers or on an interim basis in a variety of functions.
